Autism Unplugged…Stories from the Spectrum

This fundraising event promises to be an unforgettable night, uniting the Autism community and its allies through comedy, shared stories, music, and celebration. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to support Unique Sweets’ mission while enjoying a night of connection and fun.

Get ready to laugh out loud with our special guest, WGN’s own Ana Belaval! Listen to the amazing and inspiring stories from Cristina Torres, self-advocate, and our amazing parents, Debra Vines, Danny Diaz, Barbara Murphy, and Juliet De Jesus Alejandre. An amazing group of individuals that are all working to advocate and grow our community.

Following our inspiring show, guests are invited to stick around for an Old School Throwback dance party with music provided by DJ Elbo and live musical performance by Chicago’s Caribe Project Orchestra. A full menu will be available for attendees, along with specialty drinks and raffles throughout the night!

Unique Sweets on Good Morning America

On Monday, July 31 local Autism non-profit Unique Sweets will be featured on ABC’s Good Morning America to share their story and speak to the progress their organization has made to teach autistic adults job-skills for baking delicious cupcakes and Caribbean-inspired treats, while learning the ins and outs of running a café and coffee shop.

Party with a Purpose 2023

Join us for a fun evening of Music, Games, Sip -N- Paint, Food Demos/Classes, Raffles and Community Resources, and food will be available for purchase.

Party With A Purpose aims to provide a festive environment for autistic teens and adults and their families and friends to come together in a safe space for an evening of fun. This will be an evening of music, games, painting, food demonstrations, and community building. We invite community partners to join and share their services and resources this year.

Enjoy great food while being INTENTIONAL about supporting Autism. At Unique Sweets, 100% of our profits return to serving our Autism community. We are so excited to be at La Sandwichera Cafe.

AUTISM UNPLUGGED

Join us for a night filled with heartwarming stories, music, dancing, and comedy as we unite to honor and celebrate our collective autism journey. This fundraiser supports Unique Sweets and Chicagoland Autism Connection as we continue to serve families and adults living with Autism and Create/Build community.

Get ready to laugh out loud with hilarious comedians (Patti Vasquez, Marci Deloney, and Anthony Fuentes ) as our moms and dads give you a sneak peek into “Autism Life” as a parent. Raffles, specialty drinks, food, and more will be available throughout the night! The dance party starts with a thrilling Stepping Meets Salsa theme, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all!
